Where has the Rogers family been...

Sigh it is true you just keep up with the second as easy as you did your first.. But maybe I have a slightly greater reason with all the transitions we have had...march to now has been a whirl wind to say the least... But instead of a completely long blog about what I have missed to document celebrating now...
B turned three last week something about hitting three hit me harder than two did. Not quite sure why but it did.. Blessed beyond measure I get to be home with the boys now...time is fleshing and love for just a short period of time we pretty much have 5 days of just me ne the boys while Chris is at wok not easy some days but wouldn't change it for the world.. . B continues to become my little extrovert and talkative little man.. We have been rocking the football stickers on his face for over a week now...between our frequent walks to go fight Goliath and find the philistine camp to saying " mama that's dangerous I need to be careful so I don't bump my oogin (noggin)
Cy just turned 9 months and it is true each kiddo is different because lil Man U are soo different that your brother and love discovering you personality each day.. U have finally figured out sleep and can make it till 545 and sometimes I dare say it sleep in till 630:) we call u our lil peanut and are always busy working.. U have been clapping for sometime and have perfected the wave

You can roll prone to supine and love to roll to you side to watch b...
You babble quiet a bit...

2months and u know ur a mom of boys when..

Cy is officially 2 months!
Pretty laid back lil man.. Going to Sleep between 7 to 8 and waking up between 1 and 2 to nurse then back down till 5 to 6 ... Such a good lil sleeper... And such a smiley guy.. Also doesn't mind tummy time in small segments..

Also I have found myself thinking of all the fun things a mom of boys gets to experience... Such a blessing the most recent one is usually while I'm doing laundry I'm usually either assigned the role of either buzz or woody...if I had time to blog I would list all the other fun adventures we getta have but let's be real a mom of 2, 2 and under has to prioritize  and enjoy the ride :)

1 month

Silas your one month old... And let's be honest I love u dearly but I would say the same about ur brothers first month I don't love the newborn stage or at least first month ( also not ready to call u not a newborn either ) but earlier this week I caught your first smile... It's usually in the morning but its definelty a keeper... Your daddy has even seen it too... Haven't had the chance to catch it on camera yet but hopefully soon cuz lets bee honest our mornings can  get alittle crazy with your brothers routine...
Don't know how much you weigh but ur still fitting into newborn and some 0 to 3...
This week we made the switch to the crib at night everyone sleeps better that way.. Since Sunday you have done at least one 4 to 5 hour stretch each night... I don't wanna bank on it but love alittle  predictability ...
You still are our little grunter.. Maybe once have I heard you really cry usually if ur upset you just grunt a lot to let us know... But then you grunt when your spy and when ur sleeping too...
As of this point I think you still look alot like your brother ESP the mouth and nose....

Your daddy and I love you very much

He's here!

Finally sitting down during one of B's naps and my lil man in my lap to type out his birth story and our first two weeks...
Short birth story:
Laid down Christmas Eve around 10:30 and didn't feel right tossed and turned with no luck falling asleep till 12 when I realized what happening contractions.... Got to the hospital around 7 Christmas morning to find out my 2 to 5 minute contractions I have been having got me dilated to 1 cm ugghh... By noon with no progress and finding out my lil one was resting his head on my uterine scar I elected to get some sleeping meds... Woke up at three with milder contractions.... Spoke with doc at six to find out we are only at 2 cm... But willing to give me till next morning to progress to try avoid another c section... But also letting me know she was concerned that his head was in the exact spot where I was at risk for a uterine rupture... Contracting all night to find out no progress at 8 am... Honestly was alittle bummed but also with no sleep and no food my body was done... Scheduled for a c by lunch we were told... My contractions also picked up and only to find out my doctor was at another hospital delivering another baby and oh by the way the roads are bad cuz we are expected to get six inches of snow... But thankfully at 4:05 pm we found out that we had yet another healthy boy.... Who remained nameless for the next two days and our list of 15 boys names we sorta liked got chucked out the window .... Silas Christian Rogers born 21 inches long and 7 lb 13 oz...

First two weeks home has flown by... So far I will say its been  easier adjustment to two kids than I thought... We got one four stretch of sleep once but mostly still up every two hours ...Silas is known to our family as the lil grunter... I have only heard the particular newborn cry once... Usually it's just loud grunts instead...
Big brother has amazed me. As well really besides a few routine changes has shown great care for his brother... He likes to hold him, sing to him, and walks around the house letting us know that b and s are " the Rogers boys"

My heart is over full for my two boys....

any time baby rogers 2.0/ anticipation

with Christmas only 2 days away, left to wonder when he or she is going to make her arrival still hoping he or she comes before Christmas but we will see..
quick thoughts
- being pregnant during the Christmas season has brought new thoughts on the fact of how our Savior's mother must of been feeling? nervous anxious? all the normal new mom feelings plus the fact that she was going to be bringing into the world God's son. Also made me ask questions like what was her labor like? How much did she wrestle with the timing of his birth and who he was?
- wondering and processing who my son or daughter will become.. and how specifically the Lord already knows him or her and has a plan for their life and how  I have already and continue to get to be apart of that story..
the anticipation of the arrival of the birth of Jesus and anticipation  of the arrival of my son or daughter similarities yet starkly different...

feeling blessed this holiday season!!

8 weeks folks and then he/she will be here

Rogers 2.0

How Far Along: 32 weeks

Size of baby: 3.75 lbs and 16 inches long ( or bigger) with family history and the size of b I tend to birth big babies

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 22 lbs to go still on pace for 30 and nearly the exact weight I gained with b but caught up lately:)

Maternity Clothes: there's no need to continue to answer this question but of course

Movement: Baby R kicks a ton....  Also Braxton hicks has started to be present and might I add kinda painful...

What I miss: running..  Columbus marathon was last weekend enough said

Loving: dessert of any kind

Sleep: getting up about 2 to three times and also having more pregnancy insomnia.. But so far no real hip pain or back pain so that part has been great... Also have to remember the fact the night hurricane sandy came in we slept with the windows open to keep me from burning up... C jokes blizzard bill coulda done the morning forecast from our room..
Symptoms: feeling pretty good actually, just Braxton hicks and some heartburn... But no back pain or hip pain which is great...
Best Moment this week: HR 155 at this weeks doctors appointment..l going every two weeks now.... Also getting a lot of my questions answered about Vbac
What I am looking forward to: looking forward to meeting this little one and just thankful The Lord has brought us this far on this pregnancy journey... More anxious to find out boy or girl... But starting to go alittle crazy with names not loving anything just yet... Wo knows this little one might be nameless for part to most of the hospital stay...
